About us
The Welland Yacht Club has been sailing on the River Welland in Spalding, Lincolnshire, for over 65 years with an active membership which holds dinghy races every Sunday from April until December.
The club is a fully recognised RYA Training Centre. Guests are always welcome, whether regular sailors or those interested in taking up sailing for the first time.

Latest news
Sailing continues until Boxing Day then the Clubs breaks until April. The Club's annual prize giving will take place after sailing on the 10th November. Admission is free and will include food and entertainment provided by a Shawaddy Waddy tribute band.

The Club will be holding a first aid course on the 26th January 2025, primarily for our instructors but we do have a number of places available for external candidates at £70 per place on a first come first served basis - contact info@wellandyachtclub.co.uk
Training
The Club, based in Spalding Lincolnshire is an RYA training centre and organises regular courses including: Dinghy sailing courses, RYA levels 1 to 3, Seamanship and Powerboat 2.

The Welland Yacht Club has lots to offer: Dinghy racing, cruising, coaching and an active social calendar. Racing takes place every Sunday between April and November, with a winter series from November until Boxing Day
The club has a number of club boats, ranging from RS Visions to Optimist, that are available for members to use. The club is now a recognised RYA training establishment and offers a variety of sailing and powerboat course.
Social
In addition to sailing, the club has an active social calendar of events for members and guests. These include social nights and fundraisers held throughout the season plus an annual camping weekend which includes the Lowland Regatta with features a series of novelty races.
The club recently held a race night fundraiser which raised neatly £1,000 to by a Defibrillator.
